  • Weekdays: $21.38 (Penalty rate applies after 10 p.m.)
  • Saturday: $26.72
  • Sunday: $32.07

About the role:

We are looking for a punctual, reliable, and energetic Cook with proven experience in a similar scale food to join our team. You will need to be upbeat, have great work ethic and have the drive to excel and take to the next level. Sound culinary skills and artistic flair is required along with an eye for detail to offer cutting edge dining and difference that makes it Joomak.

There are positions available for 15-40 hours a week depending on your needs; part time or full time. Weekend availability is essential.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Preparing all food served following standard recipes
  • Follow and constantly meet Joomak’s expectation quality and standard
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Pre-service kitchen preparation
  • Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
  • Understanding of food safety standards (WHS) and HACCP
    Providing suggestions for menu improvements and changes
  • Maintain a level head

Requirements of the Role:

  • Back of house experience in food retail or a café
  • Knife handling skills and experience
  • Full knowledge of and ability to cook basic Korean food
  • Basic English conversation skills
  • Ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including late evenings and on weekends
  • A willingness to learn, grow and exceed guest expectations
  • Ability to work independently but also within in a team environment
    Would LOVE to grow with Joomak
  • Multiple Cuisine experience is highly regarded
