The English-language snow resort magazine jSnow, published by Nichigo Press, has received the Excellence Award in the Tourism Category at the Japan Regional Content Awards, which recognize outstanding media that promote the appeal of regional areas.

The awards honor exceptional content—including regional magazines and tourism promotion media—that showcase the unique attractions of regions across Japan. It is one of the country’s leading recognition programs for regional content, attracting entries from local media, municipalities, and tourism-related organizations nationwide.

jSnow is a specialized English-language publication that promotes Japan’s snow resorts to overseas audiences, particularly ski and snowboard enthusiasts in Australia. Covering ski areas across Japan—including Nagano, Hokkaido, and Gifu—it highlights not only snow quality and course information, but also hot springs, local cuisine, and the stories of local communities, offering a comprehensive look at Japan’s winter resort appeal.

The award recognized jSnow for its ongoing efforts to promote the attractions of Japan’s snow resorts and tourist destinations to international markets, contributing to increased awareness of inbound ski travel to Japan.

Kazuya Baba, CEO of Nichigo Press, commented, “We are honored to receive such a prestigious award. We will continue to place even greater emphasis on sharing Japan’s appeal with audiences in Australia.”

jSnow plans to continue collaborating with snow resorts and tourism destinations across Japan to promote the country’s snow culture and regional attractions overseas, further contributing to the growth of inbound tourism.
