We are seeking a passionate, responsible, and experienced Japanese chef to join our team. As a core member of the restaurant, you will be responsible for food preparation and maintaining the quality of dishes, while also helping to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Responsibilities
Prepare sushi, sashimi, hot dishes, and other Japanese cuisine while ensuring consistent taste and quality
Contribute to menu development and improvement, enhancing dish variety and appeal
Strictly follow food safety and hygiene standards, keeping the kitchen clean and orderly
Handle daily stock preparation, ingredient processing, and inventory management to minimize waste
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring team collaboration and efficiency
Work efficiently during peak service periods, ensuring stable output
Maintain good communication with front-of-house staff and management, supporting overall operations
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Japanese cuisine (sushi, sashimi, or hot kitchen experience)
Familiar with food safety and hygiene regulations
Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Must be emotionally stable, maintain good personal and workstation hygiene, and be punctual
Ability to speak Mandarin and Cantonese is an advantage; English communication skills will be highly regarded
