Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, customer-focused Branch Manager to lead operations at our warehouse branch. This role includes overseeing warehouse activities, managing staff, processing orders and invoices using software, supervising forklift use, and providing excellent service to customers on-site and via email. The Branch Manager will work closely with head office and upper management and play an active role in hiring and training new team members. The role also includes sales support such as building customer relationships, promoting products, and driving branch sales performance. Warehouse operates Monday to Friday with early morning starts. Reporting to State Manager and General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse activities (receiving, storing, dispatching)
- Operate or supervise forklift use – forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
- Input customer orders and generate invoices using software
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and safety compliance
- Ensure WHS compliance and conduct safety checks
- Maintain equipment and facility to operational standard
- Liaise with transport providers and internal teams
- Manage inventory and place purchase orders with head office
- Meet branch performance targets
- Involvement in business improvements and process development
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Greet and assist on-site pickup customers
- Communicate with customers via email and phone
- Resolve order, stock, or delivery issues
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Identify and engage new customers
- Promote products and support sales growth
- Provide product information and recommendations
- Align sales strategies with sales team and head officeGreet and assist on-site pickup customers
Staff Leadership
- Supervise staff and coordinate daily tasks
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding
- Train and support staff to perform effectively
- Foster a positive, productive, safety-conscious team environment

Qualifications:
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain a forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in warehouse operations and team supervision
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Computer competency essential (order/inventory software, email, etc.)
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Comfortable working with head office and management
- Experience in staff training and onboarding (preferred)
- Experience or interest in sales and customer relationships
- Chinese or Japanese language skills an advantage
- Proactive mindset with focus on achieving outcomes and improving processes
