Suzuran is a very successful Japanese grocery store and Sushi take-away restaurant located in Camberwell VIC. We have undoubtedly the most extensive range of Japanese food products available in Victoria. We are hiring a part time sushi bar kitchen hand now!
Position:
- Part-Time Sushi Bar Kitchen Hand
Key Responsibilities:
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone (English required)
- Assist with simple sushi preparation and packing
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow instructions from the sushi chef and support the team
Working Hours:
- Part-time position
- 3-4 days per week, flexible with weekdays
- Tue – Sat: 9:30AM-18:00PM / Sun: 9:00AM-15:30PM
- Must be flexible and available to work Public holidays
Requirements:
- Intermediate English (Able to take orders in person and over the phone)
- Punctual, honest, and hardworking
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- Prior experience with sushi making or fish preparation is a plus
- Simple sushi preparation and packing
- Commitment to at least 6 months of employment
- Understanding of Japanese working culture is preferred
- Must have valid Australian working rights
(Student and Working Holiday Visa holders welcome – must be available for at least 6 months)
