Host mother is 57yo retired Australian Native speaker who worked in Japan from 2003 to 2007 as an English Language Instructor. 

Room has king single bed, shelving, ceiling fan, study desk/chair, storage, clothes hanger. Room is in a 3brm lowset house with outdoor areas/backyard and is located 800mtrs from Alexandra Hills Shopping Centre, 500mtrs to buses to Capalaba and Brisbane CBD. 

Rent $180pw  (2wks deposit)  utilities included, no internet. Rent paid in advance 2wks. 2wks notice to exit.  

Cleaning deposit: $100 (refundable if leave premises clean)

Room only (no meals) – share kitchen facilities, bathroom and toilet facilities, laundry facilities with host. must keep room and shared areas clean, tidy. no noise after 10pm and before 7am. no parties. no sleepovers. 

Internet may be arranged at $20/wk if needed. Otherwise can use host’s mobile hotspot wifi (limited) when home. I am retired so generally at home.

I have many Japanese friends in Japan who can provide reference about homestay with me. I have offered homestay to Japanese female students in Brisbane from 2009 to 2019. My former homestay students were always welcome to interact with my friends (native speakers) to build confidence learning English and experiencing the aussie lifestyle. English only speaking home.

If you study in the Brisbane CBD you can walk 500mtrs to bus to Capalaba Bus Station and get bus to the Brisbane Central Business District (city centre) which is 1hour by bus. 

Alexandra Hills TAFE campus is set in a nature reserve with a special nursing training facilities that students attend from around Australia for intensive courses. The TAFE also provides Certificate Courses and Trades courses, business courses, nursing, early childhood education, community care etc.

There is a Alexandra Hills High School next to the campus that has Japanese High School exchange students/visiting students.

My home is located in a quiet street and walking distance to the shopping centre, buses, gym. My home has security. I am a tenant so all tenancy rules must be followed. photos available upon request.
