Our Travel Operations Specialists play a vital role in requesting and confirming services for our client bookings, as well as generating our personalised final travel documents for our trips, ensuring our clients and Tour Leaders have all the information they need to make their journeys a success.
Highly organised and super-efficient, your day-to-day work will involve managing reservation queues and our internal reservations inbox, coordinating with Travel Consultants, your Booking Delivery Team colleagues in Japan, the UK and the US, and our valued suppliers to turn our clients’ requests into reality. You will also be responsible for generating our clients’ final travel documents, using your strong written language skills and critical eye for detail to create highly professional, personalised travel packs that really bring their trip to life. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is an absolute must for this role.
We are a collaborative bunch at Inside Travel Group, so from time to time you may also find yourself supporting other functions, be that our Product team in keeping our product inventory and booking processes up to date, or our Sales team in mailing out brochures or packing and sending travel documents.
What you will need
Passion for Japan/Asia as a travel destination and desire to help others discover the country
Strong geographical and logistical understanding of Japan and our core destinations
Familiarity with the processes involved in confirming a wide range of travel arrangements
Well-developed problem-solving skills, able to use initiative with confidence
Independence and organisation, able to handle a volume of complex tasks simultaneously
A high level of productivity and accuracy, able to get a lot done at a high level under pressure
High quality communication/interpersonal skills in emails, in-person and on the phone
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint)
Advanced level of English, both written and spoken
