Yoshinori Sakuno
Yoshi was raised in Ashiya, one of Japan’s most affluent and prestigious residential areas. He attended Ashiya Upper Secondary School, a distinguished institution that counts world renowned author Haruki Murakami among its alumni.
Yoshi’s academic background began at Ashiya Municipal Seido Elementary and Junior High School. He then attended Ashiya Upper Secondary School, where he not only excelled academically but also shone as the Vice Captain of the Football Club. His leadership skills were highlighted when he led the team to a second place finish in the Hyogo Prefecture Interhigh School match, a significant accomplishment given the challenges posed by the Great Hanshin earthquake.
He continued his academic journey at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a major in International Business Management and Corporate Finance. His thirst for knowledge and excellence took him to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he completed a Graduate Certificate in an International Program and received the Outstanding Student Award.
In 2008, Yoshi attended the University of Chicago’s Graduate and Professional Programs, participating in the New Entrepreneurs Program, where he achieved the highest evaluation ratings for all assessments. His dedication to continuous learning led him to the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of New South Wales Business School in Sydney, Australia, where he earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from 2009 to 2011.
Furthering his expertise in digital media and technology, Yoshi pursued a Master’s Degree in Digital Media Management at Hyper Island in Singapore from 2016 to 2019, commuting to Singapore from Sydney every three weeks. He graduated with distinction. This degree was awarded by Teesside University in the UK and emphasised industry training through the utilisation of cutting edge digital technology.
Yoshi’s educational achievements reflect his commitment to excellence and his ability to adapt and thrive in diverse academic environments, preparing him well for his professional endeavours.
